Losing body fat (and that includes cellulite) requires a complete plan that is followed consistently. Your diet plays a big role as do lifestyle habits in general. For example, toxin build-up in the body is a primary factor in the appearance of fat as cellulite near the top of your skin. Smoking, environmental pollutants and even excessive caffeine consumption can make the problem worse. Even if you get your body fat to a low level, if you continue to practice unhealthy lifestyle habits that lead to the accumulation of toxins in the body, you may still have some issues with cellulite.

cardio on the treadmill for fat loss Muscle building exercises for the lower body can be done at home or using equipment at the gym. Personally, because I dislike these exercises so much, I find the gym to be a bit more pleasant. Most of the machines are ready to go and you simply need to select the weight you’re going to lift, adjust the seat position and do your sets. If you’re completely new to this type of workout you’ll want to consult a personal trainer the first couple of times you exercise. Usually there will be assistance available among the club staff.

If you prefer home workouts, you’ll want to start doing squats, various types of lunges, leg lifts and other exercises that focus entirely on the lower body. When you’re first starting out, your own body weight will provide plenty of resistance you give you a good workout. As you progress, you’ll want to add light dumbbells and perhaps ankle weights or resistance bands to your home gym.

I agree – it’s a combination of both cardio and strength training that are best for getting rid of cellulite. It can be hard to find the time to do both though!

why are so many women afraid of building muscle??? it doesn’t make them look like a man, it makes them look smoking hot. glad you suggest muscle building for cellulite exercises…. it’s soooo important!

I’m sure cardio and muscle building does help somewhat, but I see plenty of fit, slim, healthy women with cellulite too. What about them? They’re obviously doing the right stuff, and they still have it. It puts me off trying to be honest, if they can’t get rid of it, it’s unlikely I will. I just stick to regular exercise, nothing extreme.
